A growth group is...A group of 3 to 12 people who meet together to learn the Bible and to encourage one another. Most groups meet weekly for 1½ to 2 hours in homes or at the church, and all are welcome. For more information or to sign-up for a group contact Pastor Kevin at pastorkevin@openarmsonline.org Groups meet for 12 weeks (Sunday, January 22nd through Saturday, April 14th)

Key Values:Loving GodWe love God in our growth groups by making Him a priority in our lives by seeking Him together. Discovering TruthWe seek to discover the truths of the Bible in an interactive way while making life application. The Bible study materials we use are designed to encourage group interaction and sharing. The growth group leader is not necessarily a teacher, but a facilitator who participates and keeps things moving. The question we ask ourselves in the growth groups is not, "How much do I know?" but, "How much am I like Jesus?" Sharing LifeIn the New Testament, the early church was a close community who shared their lives with each other (see Acts 2:40-47). Our growth groups are a place where people are made to feel welcome and genuinely cared for; a place where it's safe to share struggles; a place to build real friendships and to share life.

Growth Group Winter ScheduleMONDAY 1. Jonah (Meets every other week) More than a story about a man swallowed by a fish, this interactive study through the book of Jonah reveals much about our need for surrender and receiving mercy even as we extend the mercy of God to others. 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the church building Facilitated by Jeff and Nancy Nuding Book: Bring your Bible

4. Fundamentals of the Faith A great study for new believers and those who want to review the core of the Christian faith. WEDNESDAY 5.The Great Adventure (Men's Group) Walk with other men as you look to answer important life questions: Who am I? What are my life dreams? Do I have the courage to pursue them? 6:30-7:50 a.m. at the church building Facilitated by Mark Obleman & Rick Greminger
